Estinien is the former Azure Dragoon of Ishgard. Once living only or the sake of revenge against Nidhogg and the dravanian horde that destroyed his village as a child and killed his family, he didn't see how far gone he was in his quest until he was possessed by his greatest enemy and used to lay waste to his people. Fully expecting to be killed as the only means of stopping him, he was instead saved and freed through the power of the Warrior of Light and a newly made acquaintance, Alphinaud. Thus, with a new lease and outlook on life, he left Ishgard and decided to travel, atoning for his past and working with the dragons towards a better future.
Unfortunately the WOL and the rest of the Scions came knocking and he hasn't known peace since.
