Character Information
Estinien from a race of elf-like beings named Elezen. He used to live in a place named Ishgard (think fantasy France, complete with dragons and catholicism). He was once a soldier— a super special one known as the Azure Dragoon of Ishgard, which essentially made him chief dragonslayer, until the events of the game. He once lived only for the sake of revenge against the dragon Nidhogg and the dravanian horde that destroyed his village as a child and killed his family. He didn't see how far gone he was in his quest until he was possessed by Nidhogg and used to lay waste to his people. Fully expecting to be killed as the only means of stopping Nidhogg, he was instead saved and freed through the power of the Warrior of Light and a newly made acquaintance, Alphinaud. Thus, with a new lease and outlook on life, he left Ishgard and decided to travel, atoning for his past and working with the dragons towards a better future.

Appearance
Estinien is a tall (198cm/6'6") man with long elf ears. The Diadem has done a number on him so he now also has the scales of a dragon and the tail of a dragon and the horns of a dragon and—you guessed it—the teeth of a dragon (some references here (NSFW for nudity)). He is never without his lance, though you may catch him without his armour, and when not in armour he sticks to this (jeans, boots, some form of top, depending on the weather).
Skills & Abilities
For those who know: he's a level 90 DRG.
For those who don't: Estinien is a dragoon, which means that his fighting style consists of a lot of jumps and dives using a lance. Because he is a final fantasy character, this then hits for Massive Damage. Ostensibly, he is a Regular Guy who has trained in the art of Being A Dragoon and any person off the street also has the ability to train in this mode of fighting, however he is also canonically shown to be able to jump to around cruising altitude and single-handedly destroy WMDs with his dives so who's to say, really. His strengths lie in the physical, so he has no training in magic or healing or anything like that.
However, since the possession he has some additional, Nidhogg-based abilities such as:

- Ala Morn - this attack hits for Big Damage. He can also siphon life from his opponent with it to heal himself.
- Drachenlance - inflicts damage and saps his opponents strength over a period of time
- Horrid Roar - this is an AOE attack that can cause hysteria.
- His limit break becomes Dragonshadow Dive (from Nidhogg's Darkdragon Dive) wherein Estinien does a bigger dive for Massive Damage.
