thoughts and feelings

i think it's such a big deal to her when someone that's not out to destroy the world Isn't Pleased with her LMAO and i think estinien goes about it in a really tactful way that makes her both want to instigate more but also it just! makes her feel human
not to say she doesn't appreciate the absolute faith and trust all the scions have on her -- but i think she also perceives it as an expectation for her to live up to. and like, she *wants* it to be that. but she also wants someone who is going to call her a wretched creature, you know
i mentioned earlier to zelly that aria in my head is a chronic younger sibling and if given the opportunity she wants to be that to everyone she meets - she's capable of being INCREDIBLY shitty and petty but often curbs a lot of that because of the role she plays and she understands that her words have Weight
and like, estinien very much indulges that part of her and i think she recognizes that he doesn't ever HAVE to do that. but he does! often it's at his expense and like, ngl a lot of it really is just he has funny reactions... but also the fact that he's openly displeased means that she knows he is. you know? he's not gonna grin and bear it for her
i think in a more tangible level i think she just likes that he goes where his heart leads him ... what a freeing existence. it's in her nature to worry at least a little so she worries about him, but it's nice to know someone Like Him is out there and will come back (to her) again when the time is right
which i think in turn is a sort of reassurance to her that even if she does end up hiding his bike like, at the end of the day when they need to fight alongside each other, he'll be there
